Its high resistance allows cutting the stone in both directions of cut: cross cut and vein cut.
It is extracted from a quarry in Barcelona (Folgueroles) .

Clástic rock of gray color and green blue tone. Of homogeneous medium-fine grain and classified as arenite where quartz (51.4%), feldspars (26.6%), calcite 11.5%, mica 8.7% and others (1.3%) are its components.
